Groove, a top-rated help desk software company, is currently seeking to hire a remote Content Writer. This is an exciting opportunity for Kenyan or African professionals who are interested in working remotely. You'll be part of a small but steadily expanding team, reporting directly to the VP of Content.
Job Description
The primary role of the content writer at Groove will be to create search-engine optimized blog posts that attract visitors and convert them into trial signups and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Research and write 2-3 weekly blog posts that are engaging, actionable, and conversion-focused.
- Capture and edit any screenshots needed for each blog post.
- Ensure your content is well-optimized for search engine rankings.
- Research competitors and ensure any comparisons made in articles are accurate and adequately position Groove’s features and benefits above our competitors.
- Continuously monitor search engine rankings, updating and optimize existing content regularly as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience in content writing is preferred but not compulsory (This role is open to entry-level applicants)
- Conversion-Focused: Your writing should be persuasive to get conversions; you know how to evaluate whether your content is effective or not
- Basic Image Editing Skills: Ability to efficiently take screenshots; resize and crop images
- SEO knowledge: Familiar with keyword research volume and search intent, using keywords effectively in your content without keyword stuffing
- Time Management: Ability to juggle multiple tasks & projects, prioritizing work effectively to meet all deadlines
- Remote work experience would be advantageous
- A background in customer service would be considered an added bonus
