Are you passionate about animal rights and want to play your part in making a difference? Animals Australia, known globally for its strategic campaigning and advocacy, is looking for a Communications Lead. We aim to inspire change by awakening millions to the suffering of animals in factory farms, slaughterhouses, and the live export trade.
Our vision is ambitious: To create a kinder, more compassionate, and respectful world for all living beings. To achieve this vision, we need to inspire changed thinking about our relationship with animals on a global scale. Our project VegKit.com offers robust resources that provide the tools and information needed to encourage plant-based meals. With half a million visitors annually, we have numerous opportunities to help people replace animal products with plant-based alternatives.
We are seeking a dedicated individual who can join our vibrant Veg team as a Veg Comms Lead. You will be responsible for producing high-quality engaging written content for the VegKit website (and occasionally print materials), reviewing content from fellow VegKit writers for clarity and consistency, collaborating with the Veg Programs Lead to develop strategies, among other roles.
You are an expert communicator who thrives working autonomously but also recognizes when collaboration or guidance is necessary. Crafting prose should be your superpower; you understand how to weave just the right message with your command of English language. Proper grammar is your default mode but you're not afraid to bend rules to make a point that resonates.
You’re tech-savvy and ready to embrace new systems and tools as they evolve. You’re passionate about our mission towards creating a kinder world through advocating for animal rights.
Bonus points if you have experience with SEO principles and a background in non-profit organizations, animal protection, advocacy or other for-purpose sectors.
If you share our vision of a world where kindness, compassion, and respect extend to all living beings, apply now.
