Job Description

This is a fully remote/virtual job position suited for Kenyans or Africans looking for full-time employment. The work schedule is: Mon-Thu (6pm-3am EAT) & Fri (4pm-1am EAT).

As the Student Finance Coordinator (SFC), your primary role will be to assist students by explaining their financial obligations towards the institution. This role involves both outbound and inbound support to students via telephone, e-mail, or other communication channels. You will need to analyze and discuss with students what part will be covered by state, federal, military, or external funding sources. You'll also provide information on how they can finance any out-of-pocket payments required through payment plans, alternative loan lender options, or internal loan programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inbound and outbound support through various media forms.
  • Review applications for student Title IV financial aid eligibility according to Department of Education requirements.
  • Assess loan eligibility and current debt with students.
  • Evaluate a student’s account at the end of each term for any outstanding financial obligations.
  • Answer inbound billing phone calls.

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products, Google Apps.
  • Good organizational skills, customer service skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Salary: KES 3.4M - KES 8.5M annually

Location: Remote
